finally, a good laugh on Monday morning
I should be working on my memo, but while reading this complaint, I came across a line that actually made me laugh out-loud. Unfortunately I can’t put the whole complaint for everyone to see, but…
62. In response to her complaint, Mr. M_____ denied the entire incident as Ms. B_____ complained but admitted the erection and was placed on a 2-day unpaid leave.

I tried to diagram that sentence but my fingers broke.

Oh, it’s a great complaint. Even better than just that part, but I thought that was the funniest example. I googled the attorney who wrote it and he had sanctions brought against him in 2003 or something.

I can’t figure out who had the erection - was it Mr. M or Ms. B? It’s kinda like the settlement agreement I dealt with today where the drafting attorney forgot to specify which party gets the money.

i think i understand this sentence differently every time i read it.
right now, i think she’s admitting an erection.
also, i think this sentence could benefit from a few more well-placed commas. never too many commas, in my opinion.
